Happy FamilyThe American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children is a national organization whose mission is to enhance the ability of professionals to respond to children and families affected by abuse and violence. APSAC tries to fulfill this mission in a number of ways, most notably through providing education and other sources of information to professionals who work in the child maltreatment and related fields.

  • APSAC Announces Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors. Arne Graff, Chair of the Nominations Committee of APSAC invites APSAC members to nominate professionals to run for election to the APSAC Board for a three year term beginning January 2010. Letters of nomination should be e-mailed to Dr. Arne Graff (Arne.Graff@meritcare.com) or mailed to Dr. Arne Graff, Medical Director, Child and Adolescent Maltreatment Services, MeritCare Health Systems, Rt. 721, Fargo, ND 58103. Letters should describe the nominee’s discipline, areas of child abuse practice, and expertise. The final slate of candidates is selected by the Nominations Committee to reflect regional and professional variations and to maintain a diverse board of directors. The deadline for nominations is August 1, 2009. Questions about the nomination process can be directed to Arne at Arne.Graff@meritcare.com.
