The APSAC Advisor welcomes manuscripts addressing important topics in practice, policy, and theory, including empirical research articles, review articles, and program evaluations. Regular articles should be 4,000-6,000 words, not including tables, figures and references. Controversial topics can be addressed by an "At Issue" article. Brief program descriptions for the "What's New and Who's Doing It" section will also be accepted, limited to no more than 1,000-2,000 words including tables, figures, and references. Other submissions not meeting these requirements will also be considered.
Submissions should be prepared according to the guidelines in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition). All submissions should have all of the authors' names, degrees and contact information on the first page, an abstract of approximately 120 words, and brief biographies (50 words) at the end. All submissions and questions should be sent to the Manager of Publications at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please feel free to download the APSAC Advisor Style Guide and the APSAC Advisor Guidelines for Authors to help you in preparing your submission. You can also view a Zoom Chat on how to write for the Advisor and Alert.
