In-Depth Offerings

"Live from New York, It’s APSAC" will take place December 14-16 (ending at noon on Dec. 16) and will include four in-depth institutes and additional related training.  Participants are permitted to move between the following institutes:

1. Issues and Strategies in Presenting Evidence in Forensic Interviews

APSAC is offering forensic interviewers an opportunity to learn from national experts about the practice of presenting evidence in forensic interviews. Sessions will present different perspectives, challenges, and controversies.

2. Sexual Behavior Problems in Children and Adolescents 

Sessions will equip members of the multidisciplinary team with the research and tools to effectively communicate hope and seriousness when handling cases involving youth exhibiting and impacted by problematic sexual behavior.

3. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children and Families

Leading national experts will present the basic tenets of TF-CBT, review the TF-CBT PRACTICE components, and diverse implementation strategies. A prerequisite for one of the training is completion of TF-CBTWeb, which can be found here.

4. Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation and Prosecution

This program will provide an in-depth dive into trauma informed investigation and prosecution.

Presenters with include recognized experts and experienced trainers from the National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College (NCJTC).

Group Registration Discounts

APSAC is pleased to offer a discount for groups of five or more at a savings of 10% off the regular registration rate for each attendee in the group. Use the code GROUPREG to activate this discount. Group registrations must be submitted together - no exceptions.

Cancellations

APSAC will provide full refunds all written cancellation requests received by November 22, 2021. After November 22, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will be processed after February 1, 2022. Registrations can be transferred to another party at any time without penalty, as long as APSAC is notified in advance.
