The 2020 APSAC Colloquium is Rescheduled to September 21-24 in New Orleans

All of us at APSAC hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. We are writing to inform you that APSAC’s 2020 Colloquium is rescheduled from June to September 21-24, 2020.

When considering all necessary issues APSAC leadership reached the conclusion that the June 7–11 date brought too many uncertainties and, given the COVID-19 pandemic, was too soon for the 2020 Colloquium. Fortunately, the Sheraton was able to accommodate APSAC with dates later in the year when we hope it is a safe time to travel and gather (with appropriate social distancing). The Colloquium is now scheduled for September 21-24, 2020 - at the Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. Details for pre-conference institutes and events are still being finalized. Information including exact dates and times will be on the APSAC website as details are finalized.

APSAC is working with all involved to ensure that the 2020 APSAC Colloquium is filled with our usual mix of cutting-edge science and practical applications to your practice. We hope that you will join other APSAC members and friends who create the experience, collegiality and collaboration that make an APSAC Colloquium such a special experience.

Please watch the APSAC website, where we will shortly post links enabling you to register and make hotel reservations. We have fewer rooms reserved than we did for June and want to be sure to accommodate as many people as possible.

As requested by some of our members, presenters and military partners, we are hosting the Colloquium before the end of September to allow some to utilize federal grant funding that may have otherwise expired. Of course, please contact your project/grant officer to confirm grant or budget extensions as you plan to join us in New Orleans in September.

The APSAC leadership commends all of you who are on the front lines caring for children and families while adjusting to new technology and methods for reaching out to families we serve. We are working hard to provide you with a much-needed opportunity to regroup, re-charge and add to your knowledge base in September. Our work in child protection has never been more challenging and important.

Please contact us or watch the APSAC website for additional information, and plan to join us in New Orleans. Thank you for all that you do!
